Session Musicians

At Kramer Sound Studio we believe in giving our clients as many options as possible. "Making music is your business, putting it all together is ours". KSS

If you are simply looking for some great session musicians to play on your record, Kramer Sound Studio can provide you with the best musicians around. We provide session work on the following instruments:

  • Drums / percussion
  • Bass (Electric / Upright)
  • Acoustic and Electric Guitar
  • Piano, keyboard
  • Vocals (male and female)
  • Sequencing, loops, samples, and beats

When it comes to choosing session musicians for your recording project you must choose wisely, there are so many different styles of music, and what session player may be right for you might not be the right choice for others. In order to match our clients up with the right session players we provide a variety of session musicians that you can choose from for your project individual needs.

Often times studios will just provide the session player without ever asking the client what are your particular preferences. We like it when our clients are involved in the process of selecting their session player(s). It all comes together when everyone involved is in on the process.

How It Works

Navigate through the links to your left. Read the profiles of each session player, and when you find the session player(s) that meets your project needs, let us know by telephone or email.

Most of the session players that we work with have personal web sites where you can listen to their music by clicking on the links.

Cost

Session players charge anywhere from $50.00(US) to $200.00(US) per song, on average $100.00(US) per song. All our session players are professional musicians and most can play a multitude of instruments. Pricing, like all other things in the business world, are based on the principle of supply, demand and complexity of the finished product. Contact Us for individual pricing and our full production discounts.

Standard Studio Musician Fees*

1. $50.00(US) to $200.00(US) per song (average $100.00(US) per song)
2. There is a minimum fee of $100.00(US) per day per session per musician.
3. Payment is to be made directly to the studio musicians unless otherwise agreed upon.

Instruments: Guitar - Bass - Drums - Sequencing, loops, samples, and beats

About the Artist:

Christopher spent ten years working as an instrumental music teacher and spent six of those years as the Head of the Expressive and Applied Arts department. His critically acclaimed Beatles tribute recording, BLUE SUBURBAN SKIES, was recorded in 2001 at his home, with Christopher playing all of the instruments (save for one track). In 2002, he began a new path and became the Pastor of Worship at James Street Baptist Church where he focused his work not only around worship leading, but also on composition and freelance production work.

In the fall of 2004, Christopher released A SIGN UNTO YOU, an album of entirely original music centred around the theme of Jesus’ birth. It was Christopher’s first album of solely original material in nine years. A SIGN UNTO YOU was recorded using one of Christopher's many fine guitars, a Taylor 314 Limited Edition 2002 model, which gave the album a distinctive sound.”

The album was nominated in 2004 for Best Religious Recording at the first ever Hamilton Music Scene awards, and the song SWEET, SWEET LOVE was selected for inclusion on the 2004 Hamilton Music Scene compilation CD Volume 7.

The Hamilton Music Scene Awarded Christopher the BEST MUSICAL EVENT OF THE YEAR BY PEOPLE’S CHOICE for two consecutive years 2005/2006.

March 14, 2006 saw the release of Christopher’s seventh full-length album, “SURRENDERING…EVERYTHING”, his first official collection of worship music. He dedicated the album to the people of James Street as a thank you for their encouragement and support as a writer.”
